Joslyn Housley is a playwright, screenwriter, and librettist whose work spans stage and screen. Her writing explores the complexities of the human experience, drawing from historical events and nuanced personal narratives to create thought-provoking stories. Joslyn’s historical drama The Silver Thread has been widely acclaimed, and she contributed the story to the 2021 award-winning film Hal King. She has also written and directed two short films: Grey Rock (2023) and The Chilling Narrative of the Reanimated Corpse of Mary Reynolds (2023). A graduate of Northwestern University’s MFA program in Writing for the Screen and Stage, Joslyn also served as an instructor, teaching courses in screenwriting. She was recently awarded the Legacy  Playwright Grant from Advance Equity in the Arts and the Northwestern University Graduate Research Grant.
